Alright, where to begin. I ordered this filament last week after seeing a notice on the Tronxy 3d printer facebook group looking for users to test and review their TPU filament. I'm fairly new to 3d printing, but always willing to try something new, especially if it means I can create flexible prints. Since technically, my model of printer does not have a TPU compatibility, I consulted with tronxy's customer service about whether or not I could even make this work. Thank you to Lisa, who was most helpful and set me up with some basic settings on what temperatures and speeds I should use to run TPU on the XY-3 printer. (If this is any indication of Tronxy's customer service people in general, I would say they are very polite and helpful. Kudos!)Now to test this out and run a first print, I decided to run with a bracelet design I found on thingiverse.com to print one each for my wife and daughter. I made three attempts to print the first bracelet, with some issues with adhesion to the print bed on the first two. (In all fairness, I have the same problem with PLA and WOOD filaments and it takes a couple tries to dial in my settings so this wasn't a deal breaker.) The third time was the charm, and I managed to produce a quite nice bangle bracelet. Now the fun part of this was the supports. The bracelet was hollow and fairly open so it had loads of support structures. I also had some issues with the nozzle leaving strings at times when moving from section to section, but I changed a retraction setting to get that under control. Still, once the print was complete, I had a bit of work cut out cleaning. Just a note here, flexible prints as stretchy, and that includes the support frames! Not to worry, though, these can still be cut off fairly easily with a sharp utility knife.Once my bracelets were finished, I decided to make a third test print, a coaster. At this point, I was getting nice smooth lines (with only an occasional clump) and was able to put down a nice, clean, circle on the print bed (fyi, I also decided to improve adhesion by glue sticking the print surface. Which works very well.) I found the TPU filament works even better for this, as I got a nice flat circle that had a decent grip on the surface of my end table when in use. Of course I had to flex the coaster a few times just because I could, and i found it's flexibility to be indistinguishable from a rubber drink coaster I'd bought several years ago.Overall, I would definitely recommend this filament to other users. I found it easy to work with and smooth to print. I'm sure that as I continue to practice with my printer and get to know it's full range of functions and capabilities I can produce even better results.

This is a wonderful filament that I used to print multicolor items that were admired and treasured by everyone that saw and purchased them. The adhesion was great and there was no stringing. I'm buying more to have on hand.

Works well as a support material in my Bambu Labs CX1. However it is NOT true water soluble. It softens, NOT dissolves.

I have been 3D printing for years mostly PLA+ and PETG. I was building up an aquila and thought for fun II would try TPU, Tronxy reached out to and asked if I would try their material so I did. I had to upgrade my extruder drive to allow printing with such a soft product I recommend the Redrex Dual Gear Extruder, it will direct fit any "ender 3" based model. As for the filament, it printed well @ 230c stuck well with a little hairspray and printed nicely. this was the first print with an unknown filament and the print turned out first try. I would recommend giving this a try. I included a picture I need to say this was printed quite small with a .25 layer height I was in a hurry to get a sample, but it is extremely easy to print with if your extruder can handle it.

I don't typically use ABS as PETG usually works for my prints but I needed something that was able to withstand heat so I figured let's give it a try. My first print warped mid way through and that's typical so I let the heated bed run for a little while in my enclosure and then started the print. The enclosure got to about 120f (it's a lack table so it's not completely insulated) and the print went perfectly fine. As this is my first print with ABS I printed a petg piece to compare and I really like the ABS print better. It's not shiny like PETG is and looks more professional. That's said the fumes are there, I ran a HEPA filter with carbon but had to open the door for a second to see the first layer and it smells toxic. So make sure you have an enclosure that has some kind of filtration and all is good. Highly recommend this filament. I attached a picture of a small pencil holder I printed to test acetone smoothing, I need to let it sit a little longer but it came out nice.

In my previous review I was upset about delivery and promised to change that once the product arrived and I had a chance to use it. Well, its here and wow, the wait was worth it. This is my first time printing this material and I expected to have to change a lot of settings on my printer to get a good print. Well, it was easier than I thought.I am printing on the Artillery Sidewinder X1 with a direct drive extruder. I set my hot end to 220 and my bed to 60 and I applied a little glue stick to the bed. No adhesion issues, no stringing. Great print for the model I was using. The only issue I had was threading the TPU through my filament run out sensor, so I just bypassed that. Otherwise worked really great. I will buy this brand again as soon as I find a way to store it to protect it from humidity. This product is hygroscopic (it soaks up moisture), so it needs to be kept in a dry and low moisture environment. I mean really low, like desert low. Keep the silica packet and put your filament in a zip lock bag at the very least when you are done. Don't leave this TPU, or any tpu on your printer if you are not going to use it all in the next 72hrs.Great product.I will buy this brand again for my flexible print needs.

I am not new to 3d printing, but i am new to TPU. i have had a Monoprice Select Mini 3d printer for about 2 years and recently added a Tronxy X5SA-400 printer. Despite all my printing i had never tackled TPU. i have been told that it is next to impossible to print TPU on a bowden type printer, which my first printer was. after i installed my new printer i thought i would try my hand at it. i loved my new Tronxy printer so i decided to give their filament a try. the price was right, and i wanted to print several cosplay items for my daughter.the filament ships quickly from amazon, and comes in the standard sealed filament pouch. i opened it up and checked it out. TPU is different than anything i have used before. the filament feels more like a rubber band then a piece of plastic. my printer has a titan geared extruder with a 630mm bowden tube and i thought loading it in to the titan was going to be a nightmare, but it was surprisingly easy, easier then i find most PLA's. i figure it is because it is flexible that it goes where the extruder wants instead of where it wants. i loaded the filament and extruded a bit. at my nozzle temp of 230 it came right out no issue. unfortunately with a little retraction, it kept oozing out. as discovered, this is the nature of TPU. retraction is almost useless, and does more harm then good most of the time.after some reading about printing flexible filaments, i found they needed to be printed slowly. <30mm/s. cooling can help with stringing and oozing, but wont fix it. turn retraction off, make speedy travel moves. i sliced my file up accordingly and set it to print. my favorite surface to print on is Kapton tape and i have coated my bed with it. i give it a light spray of aquanet hair spray, but i find that filaments just stick to it. it was no different with this TPU. it had excellent bed adhesion. as it printed i did find a lot of stringing. speedy travel moves helped a bit, but there was a lot of post processing needed. the processing was simple, i used some wire snips to clip the strings. but in the end i was very happy with my results.on subsequent prints i found that temperature control is very important. the tronxy tpu seemed to print just fine in the 205 degree range, with plenty of layer adhesion. tho it is important that you have a heated bed. one of my sliced files allowed my bed to drop to 35 degrees and the print pealed right off. i suggest you print a temperature tower or other files that help you tune filament settings as it will help you find a sweet spot .all in all the filament gets an A rating from me. i will definitely be getting more flexibles in the future , and the tronxy TPU seems very high quality. just follow some simple techniques and your prints will be just as good.

I usually don't print in this color, but I thought I would give it a try. I also usually print with PLA, though I have printed PETG in the past. Overall, the filament printed very well. I had consistent extrusion with every print I have done so far. I haven't had any problem with filament jams or inconsistencies. I measured multiple points along the filament to check for inconsistencies and found none. This filament also came dry and vacuum sealed.PETG can have a tenancy to absorb water from the air. I'd recommend storing this filament someplace where it won't gather moisture. I have mine in a dry box. When PETG gets wet it will string while printing. This roll of orange PETG filament came in a vacuum sealed bag. It was also dry when I received it. I did not have to dry this filament in the oven like I have other brands of PETG.I tested this filament with a couple flexi models to see if I got any consistent stringing. I printed the flexi cat with my normal settings and it turned out flawless. I then printed the Vase, which also came out flawless. I printed the flexi raptor after that, but I turned the speed up quite a bit to see if I could get the filament to string or print poorly especially with the smaller links on the tail. On the flexi raptor I did have some stringing (especially in the eye) but none in between each of the individual links of the model. In summary, this filament I can definitely recommend. It has a bright vibrant color with consistent extrusion and comes dry in a vacuum sealed bag. I'm planning to save some of this filament for later in the year for a couple Halloween prints as this color gives me some serious Halloween vibes. If you're looking for an Orange PETG you can't go wrong here!!

I picked up this filament for an upcoming project that was going to require quite a bit of ABS. I didn't do any kind of temp calibration or anything for this particular filament, I simply went right into printing with it using my standard ABS settings.Nozzle: 0.4Nozzle Temp: 235Bed Temp: 95Layer Height: 0.16Initial Layer Height: 0.26Line Width: 0.42Perimeter: 4Top/Bottom: 5Infill: 40%Infill Type: CubicPrint Speed: 100mm/sTravel Speed: 120mm/sSupports: NoCoasting: EnabledI was very pleased with the results. The layer lines were very consistent, and the initial layer went down so buttery smooth. I print on glass with hairspray for adhesion, using a skirt for priming the nozzle. There were absolutely no issues with lifting or warping. I did print it inside a Styrofoam enclosure to prevent any draft issues.I was stoked when I saw the finished print in person. I had seen it on my web cam, but that will sometimes make a bad print look good, so I wasn't getting my hopes up. I have to say, compared to the other brand I have been using, this one seems just a bit more consistent. It's not a huge difference, but it is a difference. Plus, this is about 5 dollars cheaper than the stuff I normally use.If you don't want a shiny print, this may not be the filament for you, but if you like a print that has a bit of a sheen, you will love this. It isn't shiny like ABS after an Acetone bath so I wouldn't call it glossy. It is somewhere between a satin and semi-gloss. It makes prints look a bit more professional and less like a prototype. All said, I am very pleased with this ABS and will be keeping some on had for various projects from this point on. I like that I now have a slightly shiny option for times where my other filament would be too flat for what I want.
