Right, I have this VEHO 1000-16 running and managed to get a second test cube off it, so here’s my attempt to get Huey’s leg from Silent Running printed. I’ve blown up my original 546% to make it studio scale. I first printed this in July of last year when I got my first 3D printer, a Sunlu S8 Pro. Fingers crossed that this print works out. the filament ran out about 80% through the print (I was using a partial roll). The sensor paused the job, moved the head to the front left corner and then I had the fun of running the new strand from the back and feeding it in using the ladder. One tip, when the filament runs out, use something to flick the remaining bit out of the bottom of the sensor so that it doesn’t try and feed back through it when you retract the last old piece from the print head.

Ok, printer assembled and a first test print completed. These glass beds give a smooth bottom finish. I still need to dial in the e-steps and z offset, but I’m impressed.
